Accessibility statement
MA Collectables wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this site to follow their graded card submissions.
This statement is published under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.
The standard and where we stand
Our target is Israeli Standard 5568 Part 1 (September 2023 edition), which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, at level AA.
The site does not yet fully meet that standard. What we checked and what the site does are set out below. This is our own account: the site has not been reviewed by a licensed service-accessibility expert.
How we checked
- In October 2026 every page of the site, in Hebrew and in English, at desktop and phone widths, was run through the automated checker axe-core against WCAG levels A and AA. After the fixes it reported no problems.
- Text contrast was measured on screen, against the backgrounds the text actually sits on.
- Signing in, registering, verifying an email address, resetting a password, the order-tracking page, the photo viewer and the accessibility menu were used with the keyboard alone, including their error messages.
- Pages were checked enlarged to 200% and 400%, at a width of 320 pixels, and with the device set to reduce motion.
- These checks were made in Google Chrome on a Mac. The site has not yet been tested with a screen reader (such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver or TalkBack), in other browsers, or by people with disabilities.
What the site does
- Everything on the pages we tested can be used with the keyboard alone, in a logical order, and the item in focus is outlined.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first stop on every page.
- Each page has its own title, a main heading and a marked main content area.
- Form fields have visible labels. Error and confirmation messages are marked so that screen readers announce them when they appear. After a failed registration, the name and email address you typed are kept.
- While a form is being sent, its button keeps the keyboard focus, so you do not lose your place.
- Pop-up windows, such as the card photo viewer, take the keyboard focus, keep it inside until they close, close with the Escape key, and return the focus to where you were.
- Text meets the level AA contrast ratio against its background.
- An order's progress is given in words as well as by colour and icons: each step is announced as completed, in progress or not started.
- A card's PSA grade and certificate number are shown as text, not only in its photos. Each photo button names the card and the side it shows.
- The site is available in Hebrew and in English, each in its own reading direction, and the language of each page is declared so that screen readers use the right voice. Updates from shipping carriers, which arrive in English, are marked as English.
- Pages fit phone screens and can be enlarged to 400% without scrolling sideways or hiding any control.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the site’s animations are switched off.
The accessibility menu
A round blue button in the bottom corner of every page opens an accessibility menu. It is an optional extra, based on the open-source Sienna widget with fixes of our own; the site is meant to be accessible without it. The menu can be opened, used and closed with the keyboard, and the Escape key closes it. It offers:
- Larger or smaller text (up to 200%), wider letter spacing, taller lines and bolder text.
- A dyslexia-friendly font (OpenDyslexic). It has Latin letters only, so Hebrew text is shown in a standard font. The font is downloaded from the widget maker’s server when you turn it on.
- Highlighted headings and links, a larger mouse pointer, a reading guide, a stronger focus outline, and a list of the page’s headings, regions and links.
- Colour options: dark contrast, light contrast, high contrast, monochrome, and higher or lower saturation.
- Stopping animations and hiding images.
- Reading text aloud when you click it or move to it, using your device’s built-in voices. This is not a screen reader, and you do not need it if you use one.
- Ready-made profiles that turn on several of these at once. The “Reduce motion” profile stops animations and lowers colour saturation. It reduces movement on this site; it is not a guarantee of safety for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
- Your choices are remembered in the browser you made them in.
Contact us about accessibility
To tell us about an accessibility problem or to ask for help, write to us. It helps to say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and which browser and assistive technology you use. If any part of the site does not work for you, we will send you the same information by email: your order’s status, and your card’s grade and certificate number.
